Couponing... and a cute baby boy

Here is a shot of everything that I bought today... I got a printer for Christmas so I have recently been printing coupons and the sort to save us money. I always use coupons for things at wal-mart, and am proud of my savings but I am ready to take it to the next level. I read some blogs this morning about couponing so I decided to give it a try at Wal-Greens this afternoon. Before I went I researched their ad with their savings this week and compared it to coupons that I already had. Here is the break down...

We'll start with the baby stuff. I just stopped nursing Hudson a few weeks ago, so he is only on formula now and boy is it expensive! I try not to ever buy it or diapers without a coupon.

I went to Similac.com since I was out of my regular coupons and found 2 $3 off coupons...
Wal-Greens had the Similac Sensitive Concentrate on sale for $8.99 (reg 10.99, 9.99 at Wal-Mart)
I got two and used my two three dollar off coupons to get both for $11.99. Great deal if you ask me.

They also had their Huggies diapers on sale for $6.99 (reg 10.99, wm 8.99) That in itself is a pretty good deal, but I had two $2.50 off coupons as well... so I got both packs of diapers for $9 total (4.50 each) I am not stuck on buying just one brand of diapers, Hudson uses Pampers, Huggies and Luvs, whatever I have a coupon for, although I do prefer pampers, this was just too good a deal to pass up.

I drink Special K protein drinks on my way to the hospital since there is never any telling as to when I will have a chance to eat again... and actually at Wal-Mart on Saturday I was going to buy some but Bryan said they were too expensive and to buy slim fast instead... well today Wal-Greens had them on sale for $4.99 (reg $5.99, wm $5.99) with a $1 register reward. I also had a coupon for buy two get $2 off. So I got two for $7.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is Bryan's favorite cereal, I had a coupon for .55 cents off and it was on sale for $1.99. So I got it for $1.50.

The brownie mixes were 1/2 off, so I got both for a dollar.

So my total before coupons and sales was $79.55.

After it was $35.20.

I am pretty proud of myself...
