Snow days and Stylish blogger award!
On Tuesday we got about 7-8 inches of snow. Thankfully I didn't have to work, so we got to spend a few days snowed in at home. Nothing I love more than staying warm inside with my family. We took Hudson out in the snow for about 3 minutes just to take pictures, but it has been SO bitterly cold that it wasn't pleasant for anyone. But we did get some cute shots...
So we have been having fun, but I'm getting tired of being cooped up inside... hopefully the sun will come out soon and melt some of this snow and ice!
On a different note, my friend and fellow blogger Kelsey awarded me the stylish blogger award... Thanks Kelsey!
According to the rules, I must list seven things about myself that you don't know. I'll also recognize other bloggers who deserve this award.
1. I drink hot cocoa every morning when I get up, I used to drink coffee, but got out of the habit when I was pregnant and nursing... and now I am hooked.
2. I have two guilty pleasure shows... the real housewives of... (Beverly Hills, LA, New Jersey (my fav...)) and teen mom. I have no idea why I like these shows, but I do and I can't wait to watch them when they are on my DVR.
3. I love distance running, I'm working towards a half marathon right now and my body is really mad at me that I ran 4 miles yesterday... however, I hate distance running on the treadmill and honestly I would run outside in the cold, but i'm afraid that would make me a horrible mother if I took H out in the jogging stroller.
4. I've been in love with my husband since I was 14 (over ten years now!). Off and on "in love", but we have been best friends since then and I love our love story.
5. I love being a nurse. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a mundane job where you do the same thing every day and not have to worry about people's lives being in your hands... and sometimes I have horrible days at work, but when it comes down to it, I love it. God made me to be a nurse and to take care of people.
6. I am a morning person, always have been, always will be... and Hudson takes after his mama, for sure.
7. I love mission work, and I am hoping to go on a medical mission trip in July.
