SUYL and an update

Yesterday's SUYL on Kelly's Korner was about alma maters. I had two... I guess. I went to Ouachita Baptist University for my first two years of college before switching my majors (and getting more serious with my boyfriend, now husband, who lived back at home) and moving home to go to nursing school at Northwest Arkansas Community College. I feel like I got an incredible education at both schools and I love my career, so I am happy.

I got a lot of comments about my previous blog post and I am glad that I was able to encourage others, although that really wasn't my intention. I was just sharing my heart, but that shows again that the Lord works in ways we can't see or don't intend.

This week was a good one. I worked the past two days so I have spent this morning picking up our house and spending time with Bryan and Hudson. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I have some new recipes to share so I may post again tonight or tomorrow... have a super weekend and enjoy the pretty weather!

  1. Yeay for OBU!
I know we have never really met but I know who you are - so glad you are coming on Tuesdays! You'll have to join all of us at a playgroup sometime! We have a million kids!
And I totally relate to your last post. In fact I was so convicted to come home and delete some shows off my DVR after Bro. Phillip's message!

  2. Thanks Kelly, I know we need to "officially" meet, especially since Hudson and Hollis will be the same age. I love your blog, too cute! And I would love to come to a play date sometime! :)
