How I Save Monday (a day late)

Ok so my shopping trip was actually on Monday, but we have been busy getting back into the swing of things and also we have all been sick so I am just now getting around to posting it.

It was a bit of a smaller trip since I only bought stuff we actually needed... I am planning on going back today to use up some coupons that are getting ready to expire to get stuff to send on the trucks going to Joplin. It is only about 45 min north of us, and I really cannot believe all of the devastation. I am excited about my trip later today and hoping that everything is in stock when I go... but here are the details of yesterday's trip.

Transaction 1

-Purex laundry detergent reg price $5.99 on sale for B1G1 free... so both for $5.99 and I had 2/$1 off mfc so my total on these was $3.99 for both and I actually was out of detergent so it was a score.

-Suave lotions and hair products 4/$12 with a $4 RR. I had 2 B1G1 free coupons for the lotion and a $0.50 off coupon for two hair products so I got all of these for $1.50.

-Hair elastics on sale for $2 with $2 RR, so free!

Total not including RR $11.49, Retail value $26 (a 56% savings!)

--side note, if I was to include my RR here my total would be a mere $5.49 for two laundry detergents, two lotions, shampoo and conditioner and hair ties... that is pretty amazing!

Transaction 2

-3 skinny cow chocolates retail $1 each (or $3 total) on sale for 3/$2 with a $0.45 off coupon so total was $1.55 (I needed these for my item to coupon ratio.

-Enfamil ProSobee (yes according to the dr my child now has to be on the most expensive formula...) retail $26.99. I had a $5 off coupon that was about to expire that I used making it $21.99.

I then used my two RR from the previous transaction for another $6 off.

Total here was $17.54. Total retail value was $30. (A 42% savings!)

So my total retail value for the whole trip was $56 and I paid $29.03! (a 49% savings overall!)
