November Thankfulness Challenge
I saw some people starting to post 30 days of thankfulness on Facebook... and it seemed like a challenge that I could enjoy and possibly learn from.
Day 1- I was thankful for the fall leaves and scents. I love NWA and the changing trees. My favorite time of year.
Day 2- I was thankful for my Dad on his birthday.
Day 3 (today)- There were a lot of things that I could be/am thankful for... but when looking through my news feed I saw so many people complaining about the rain that I decided to think about why I am thankful for it instead. No one likes a cold hard rain... but no one likes a drought either. So today I am choosing to be thankful for the rain, (even though it is cold and I don't enjoy getting out in it) and God's promises. Every time it rains I remember the first rain as it was God's punishment for disobedience and then I remember his promise to those who were faithful.
It is only day three of this challenge and I can already feel my spirit changing to one of joy for being thankful instead of grumbling and complaining.
I encourage each of you to do this too as a reminder of all that we have to be thankful for... and today I am also remember God's promises for those who are faithful.
Leave me a comment if you're participating and let me know what you're thankful for today! I will do a collaborative post later this week showcasing what all of you are thankful for.
