Rhett Joseph is EIGHT months old!
My sweet little baby is growing like a weed! He is EIGHT months old today.
Rhetty-Joe,
-You weighed 17 lbs 10 oz at the doctor two weeks ago, meaning you have gained 4 lbs since I switched you to formula 2 months ago. I am sure you're closer to 18 lbs now! BIG boy.
-You drink 4 8 oz bottles a day (finally settled on Similac Sensitive), baby food in the morning and at night. Your favorite is pears and sweet potatoes.
-You are trying SO hard to crawl, I think it will be any day now, and I am NOT ready.
-You are also starting to try to pull up to stand. Also not ready for this.
-You've had your first cold this month, and you're still fighting it right now but I think you're feeling better.
-You're in size two diapers, but most using cloth still. You're in 3-6 mo clothes but I am slowly putting you in 6-9 month stuff now (which is great because all of Hudson's winter stuff was 6-9 month!)
-You love love love your big brother. You want to be with him all the time, I can only imagine the problems this will cause when you start crawling and getting into his toys.
-You sleep from about 6pm-5 or 6am every night. I am trying to keep you up later so you sleep later because I don't really like waking up at 5 am.
-You go "back to bed" from about 7-8, take a long nap from 10-12 and usually another short nap from 2-3.
-You love your paci and blankey.
-You are definitely momma's boy. And I am not complaining.
-You say "Mama" and "Dada" all the time. Not sure if you correlate it with us yet, but if I am busy and you're wanting me you make sure and say "MA-MA-MA" very loudly until I come get you.
-I am still so obsessed with your blue eyes. Everywhere we go people comment on how blue your eyes are. I never in a million years would have imagined that I would have a blue-eyed baby with all the dark eyes in my family, so we can thank your daddy for those genes and Grammy for having the only light eyes in my family... honestly I think it was a one-in-a-million chance you'd get that recessive gene!

You are the sweetest, happiest baby ever. You bring us so much joy. We love you!
