Painting with... a friend.

We have a new place in town called "Painting with a Twist" where you go and do paintings with a teacher and you can go with a group of friends. It sounds really fun and my mom and I have talked about going but haven't had a chance yet.

My friend Katie texted me a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to come over and paint with her for a girls night. I told her of course I would love to but that I wasn't very creative... and then she revealed to me that she was an Art major in college and used to sell paintings on Esty before she became a photographer, score, the perfect teacher!

So last night I went over to Katie's house (she lives one road over from us, a VERY long drive, ha ha) and Katie taught me how to paint. We started with blank canvases, and I do NOT have a creative mind, but once Katie showed me what to do it was pretty easy!

I had a rough day with the boys yesterday and it was great to get out of the house, de-stress a bit and have some girl time! Thanks so much Katie! I had a blast and I love how my painting turned out. I can't wait to work on my next masterpiece for the play room!
