$20 Challenge, Week 3!
The boys and I hit up Target and Wal-Mart this morning. It was honestly a super miserable shopping trip. Both of boys cried several times throughout the trips, Rhett dumped Hudson's popcorn in the middle of an aisle in Target, then Hudson bloodied his lip on the shopping cart, it was honestly miserable... but we persevered.
(Oh and sorry for the bad photography, my eye is infected-ish right now and I was kind of rushing... so I didn't notice how bad the pictures were until I uploaded them to the computer...)
Wal-Mart
Then I spent right at $3 for this stuff at Target. Got the Eggo waffles for $1 and the Wheat thins for $0.50 and the beans for $1.64. So around $25 for my groceries this week!
I wanted to tell y'all about some other great deals I got at Target today though!
I don't know about you, but I have and have always had horrible seasonal allergies. Spring has finally sprung in NWA and my eyes have been a mess. I have one eye that is constantly draining, it looks like I am crying and I can't wear my contacts, seriously annoying. So I was thrilled to stock up on two month's worth of allergy products for right at $5.
I made $6.32 on the two Mucinex Allergy boxes.
I paid $8.99 for the Zaditor (Reg. $12.99, worth the money, best allergy eye drops!)
$1.30 on the 24 ct box of Benadryl
$1.60 on the 10 ct box of Claritin
Here is the Mucinex deal:
10 ct box on sale for $10.99, deal for when you buy 2 you get a $10 giftcard
I used two $5/1 mfc, two $2/1 tgc, 10% ctw and submitted for a mail in rebate to get another $2.50 back.
That is a $6.32 money maker!
Then I scored some super cheap cleaning products.
There is a deal right now when you buy 3 Select Cleaning Products you can get a 4th for $1.
I bought 4 Scrubbing Bubbles for a total of $10.96
I had $3 in mfc, $1 tgc, $2/3 tgc, and got $1.49 off for the sale.
THEN there is a rebate on Checkout 51 for the Scrubbing Bubbles with Fantastix
So the total comes to $2.73 for all four or $0.68 each! (Got all four for less than the price of one regularly)
These will clean my kitchen and bathrooms for over a year!
The Seventh Generation dish soap is priced at $3.19.
There is a $1 off tgc, $1 mfc and $1 ibotta rebate
$0.19!!!!
And the sponges are $1.03, there is a printable coupon for $1 off up and up cleaning product making this two pack just $0.03!
So for all those cleaning products I spent a little under $3!
All my allergy products for $5.
All my groceries for the week for $25 which is a smidge over budget, but still so good compared to what I used to spend.
Horrible, awful, no-good shopping trip with my boys, but very good shopping trip for my bank account!
How have you saved this week???
