Sick Weekend

We had a little bit of an under-the-weather weekend. We really just hung out and didn't do a whole lot. I think we were all suffering from seasonal allergies a bit and all a little exhausted from our week. On Saturday we took the boys to a park to play. Hudson loved that daddy got to come with us.

Then Bryan worked on re-staining our patio. I think it is looking good!

Sunday we had a very fussy baby boy who was running a bit of a temp so I took him to the walk-in clinic and the APN verified my feelings that he had an ear infection. We started antibiotics last night so I am hoping he is feeling better in no time! I have him home from school with me today and I am trying to clean our air filters and vacuum really well to help our allergies out. It was great timing for my first non-work Sunday since Rhett is home sick today.

Oh also, our vacuum has been acting up so we are in the market for a new one. I am borrowing my friend's Shark right now and really like it but we are also looking into the Dyson Animal Ball, but they're SO expensive. If you have thoughts on vacuums please let me know!!

That's it for now, I need to get back to cleaning and de-allergy-ing our house before Rhett wakes up. I am going to look at some air purifiers too because we are all just miserable. I am loving the spring weather but not the allergy flare ups!!!

Happy Monday!

  1. We have a Dyson animal ball and couldn't be happier with it. I literally cried when we got it because it was SO MUCH MONEY but it's so worth it.

  3. I have a shark and LOVE it. I know dyson is good too - but the price. My friend had a dyson and returned it - she too loves her shark. Best deal - wait for a sale and coupon and kohls cash earning.

    1. Thanks Trish! I borrowed my friend's shark for a few days and absolutely love it. I think that is prob what I will go with. I love how compact and light weight they are! And the price is much more manageable!

  4. I've never commented on here before, but wanted you to know that I'm praying for your family! Also, you should check out deal depot in Springdale and look at their dysons if you REALLY want one. They have them in every now and then for a significantly discounted price. I have an animal dyson and it's OK. My biggest complaint about it is the attachments don't seem to work well on my furniture. That's a big deal to me because I have two dogs that shed and I'm constantly having to vacuum. I have borrowed my mother-in-laws Shark and I don't notice a difference between the job it does vs the dyson.

  5. Thanks Carly! Good idea about the deal depot, I always forget about places like that. I am wanting one that is good for dog hair too, so your thoughts are great! I think I will end up with a shark because I really loved my friends and its like a fourth of the cost! I love hearing from other people in NWA! Thanks for the prayers!
