I Went to the Doctor...

So after being sick for a complete week, I finally went to the doctor this morning. Our regular doctor couldn't get me in so I went and saw my cute friend that I got to shadow for nursing school, Ashley, who is an APN that works with my mom.

I have absolutely no voice. I have an awful itchy and red rash all over my legs. I have a horrible cough and sore throat and I feel like my head is going to explode. Basically I am a mess.

The cure: Antibiotics and Steroids.

I am hoping that I feel MUCH better soon.

I also got my first set of essential oils in today. I have been very weary to get on the essential oils bandwagon mainly because I feel like they are really expensive. After being so miserable last week I finally caved and ordered a few samples. They just came and I am diffusing the allergy and antibiotic blend. I will be interested to see if I can tell a difference in the boys. I also have been running my air purifier and I feel like it has made a big difference too, just in the quality of our air.

I started back on the insanity diet today and I am hoping I feel like working out tomorrow. I am using the My Fitness Pal app to log my calories. If yall are on there, I would love to be friends so we can encourage each other! I have a long way to go!

Also, I have ended my $20 grocery challenge. It was very interesting to me to see how much I could get for $20 and while I am still using coupons and price matching, I am going back on my strict diet that is all fresh stuff and nothing processed. Meaning $$$$. I just spent around $70 on all the fresh stuff for our diets for the next week or so. But I love how my body feels when I eat well so it is worth the extra money!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

  2. Have you ever heard of SimpleRealFood.org?
It's a local nutrition class that Kevin and I took about 3 years back and it literally CHANGED OUR LIVES. It started us on a journey of health and wellness and we've never been the same.
It's a huge investment, but personally I've found that nothing is more worth investing in than our health and our families lives!

We rarely get sick anymore, and if we do, we are over it by the next day, we have so much more energy, I used to ALWAYS have dental problems, I have none now, Kevin's stomach used to constantly hurt, now- never (unless he eats gluten at a restaurant with his co-workers:)) It's seriously changed our lives. And our girls love eating healthy! If you start them young, it's all they know!
It's not about being skinny or looking any certain way...it's about GLOWING HEALTHY and being strong from the inside out. Check out his class!!!

    Get well soon!
