Last Day of Mother's Day Out and DIY teacher gift!

Today was Hudson and Rhett's last day of Mother's Day Out and also my last day of freedom! Their actual last day isn't until next week but we will be out of town so today is our "last day"
Last Day of MDO 2014
Hudson and his sweet teacher, Mrs. Beth
We were so blessed that Hudson and Rhett both had great teachers this year. Rhett had the same teacher that Hudson had when he was a baby, so that was fun! I really appreciate Hudson's teacher, Mrs. Beth, because this was not an easy year for Hudson or for our family and she did so good loving on him while he was there. I am so thankful for the great Christian women who work at Noah's Ark.

I wish I could say that I did something fun with my day but so far I have gotten my oil changed, grocery shopped and have been doing laundry. I even got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my baseboards (which hasn't been done since I was nesting before I had Rhett... yikes). Next up vacuuming... ha! It is just amazing to me how much cleaning I can get done in no time without the boys here!

I also made our end of year teacher gifts that I thought turned out really cute and I wanted to share.

I absolutely love these mason jar cups from Walmart. I think they are the perfect summer cup for lemonade or sweet tea! I bought one for each of the boy's teachers and the sweet director and filled them with various drink mixes. Then I printed up a little saying, cut them out with scrapbook scissors and used some cute hole-punches I have to give them a special touch. And of course I had to tie them with twine. A little twine can kick anything up a notch in cute-ness!

Hope y'all are having a great Monday!!!

I also wanted to give y'all a heads up that I am opening up 3-5 spots for guest bloggers next week. The first 3-5 people to contact me will get the spots, you can post a DIY, a special savings tip, your favorite recipe or promote your business or whatever your heart desires (the post just has to be received and okay-ed by me by this weekend!). Email me at jmkbuett (at) gmail if you are interested!
