Weight Watchers Friday- Week 1
Well... Week one is over.
Here is what I have accomplished:
1. No diet coke. For two weeks now. I've been LOVING sparkling water in cans. The carbonation makes up for me missing coke and I don't miss it AT ALL.
2. Cutting out refined sugar. Almost completely. I haven't wanted it. I've been snacking on Outshine bars for dessert or eating fruit.
3. Cutting out gluten. Almost completely. I'm about to take the plunge 100%.
4. No eating out. I did go to Starbucks one time this week and got a grande Iced Coffee with Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup and a splash of skim milk. It was 0 pts. The normal drink I would have gotten (Venti with half and half) would have been 5 pts or more I am sure. I was just as satisfied with the choice I made.
5. Exercise 6 days a week. Saturday is my off day. My goal is to at a minimum take the boys for a walk. I burned over 1000 cals one day last week by doing insanity and walking with the boys.
Recipes I have loved:
1. This Picadillo. I made a huge crock pot of this (half turkey, half grass-fed beef) and we ate the third meal of it tonight. We ate it with brown rice the first night and did the quesadillas last night and tonight. We have enough to do the stuffed peppers tomorrow. Yum.
2. I made homemade Kind bars today. I went off of this recipe but did half agave and half honey. I substituted pecans for walnuts and left off the chocolate drizzle. I also added 1 tbsp flax seed and 1 tbsp quinoa. They have great flavor and texture.
Last but not least....
Results: I lost 3.6 lbs in a week. That is awesome and I am so proud of myself!
60.4 lbs to go but that's better than 64!
Happy Friday, hope you all have a great weekend!

ReplyDeletegreat job, jenna!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your hard work!! I am working on cutting out wheat right now and cutting down on sugar. One weird thing I did not anticipate is that my cravings for sweets and just snack foods in general have really cut down....thankfully! :) Keep up the great work!! --Joanna
