A Little Housekeeping...

I had an anonymous comment left on one of my blog posts from last week that I wanted to address.

The comment has been deleted and I am trying to not let it get to me too much because the person who left it obviously hasn't read my blog for very long.

First, I want to say that this blog is a place where I feel like I can share my story. I share a lot of things about my life and about my kids. There have been very few instances like this, and I am so glad, but when someone leaves something personally attacking me or my family, it makes me want to go into lock down mode and turn everything private, or to stop blogging all together.

Second, let's talk a little bit more about PiYo. PiYo is a WORKOUT program. 10 DVD workouts. It's not a weight loss scheme or something I am promoting just to make money. It's not a magic pill or a happy drink that promises to help you lose ten lbs in a day. I am passionate about PiYo because it worked for me before I became a BeachBody Coach. I bought it outright just like any of you would do and after doing the workout I became a believer because it changed the shape of my body and I was amazed. I have the pictures to prove it.
Third, this person asked if I have any medical or fitness training to be able to advise people about these kinds of products. This is how I know that this person hasn't been reading my blog for long. I have my Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and have worked as a nurse for the last five years. I have been a runner for a long time (off and on since I hurt myself). I've done my fair share of research in fitness and nutrition because it interests me and because (as you all know) I am on a journey to being healthy and fit myself.

While yes I do make money off of sales of PiYo, it doesn't change how passionate I am about it. I became a BeachBody coach because I wanted to help people and for the last ten days that's what I have been doing. Everyone who has bought PiYo (and Shakeology for that matter) has LOVED it, and I have had a few want to sign up as coaches themselves.

All of that to say, I thank you all for the incredible support you've given me and for cheering me on on this journey. If you have something you'd like to personally ask me that might be controversial please don't leave an anonymous comment, you're always welcome to email me. All comments of this matter will be deleted and I am turning back on my comment verification for the time being.

I want to be able to continue to share my journey with you all and that's what I plan to do, but I just felt like I needed to share my heart on this matter.

Thanks again for all of your support,
Jenna :)

  1. Hi Jenna....I just want you to know you are awesome and a great inspiration to people (even this stay-at-home mom of two toddler boys way out here in California!) Don't let ignorant people stop you from doing what you do. Obviously those people have serious problems if they feel the need to anonymously attack someone who blogs about her life and beautiful family. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I adore your blog and your family. Hugs from California!

  2. Jenna - you just keep doing what your doing and don't worry about the doubters out there. You are feeling healthy and enjoying life and that is all that matters! Everyone's journey is different but we should all support each other along the way!

  4. You are a beautiful young lady with a beautiful family and you're (literally) working your butt off to make yourself thinner and more fit. I say keep up the good work! When you get a negative comment, just delete it and move on. You know what they say about haters......they gonna hate!
