I ran TEN miles.

Y'all. I ran 10 miles. I have a little under a month until my half marathon and yesterday my friend Katy and I went out to do our long run for the week. And I did it. TEN miles.

Bryan told me this morning that it seems like I am getting into a good groove with my working out and that he can tell that I am toning like crazy from it. If you would have told me 3 months ago that I would be running high mileage, I would have laughed at you. I have awful knees. You can't really tell in that picture but I am wearing knee braces on both knees under my pants, I also wear my big ol' brace OVER my pants on my right knee when I run. Proof that you can do anything you put your mind to... After my second ACL surgery, I was told I would never be able to run distance again (and maybe I will regret saying this soon) but so far so good!

I've been asked several times lately how I incorporate my running with 21 day fix. And my answer is because of the stinky winter weather, I haven't been able to run like I want to so some days I double up on my cardio DVDs. But on a perfect week I am running 3x and doing my non-cardio dvds on my off days- upper body, lower body, pilates and yoga. I also usually rest on Sundays. But I have noticed that the higher milage our runs get, the more rest my body needs so I've been taking more rest days. I am also learning to fuel my body correctly before those runs. Yesterday we ran at 8:30. I ate three scrambled eggs and a banana with 1 tbsp of PB (hello protein) and drank two scoops of my BeachBody E&E formula. I felt GREAT... and burned 1800 calories while running and promptly went to Chic-Fil-A to get lunch afterwards.

Since January I have lost 10 lbs and gone down another pants size- from large pants to mediums and fitting comfortably in my 31s... but they're starting to get baggy around my booty and the backs of my legs so I may have to invest in some 30s soon (WHAT?!). Honestly I have really realized this last month that the scale is really not a good reflection of my progress... but my clothes are! SPEAKING OF CLOTHES-- My first stitch fix box arrives this weekend and I can't wait to see what I get!!

Alright, that's all I've got for today. A little birdie told me that I am moving on Friday. I better get with it. Happy Wednesday loves.
