Wednesday Update- Prayer's Please!

It's been a really, really hard week so far. I don't want to go into a lot of details because it's not my story to tell, but some close friends of ours are going through a really horrible tragedy. We've spent some time with them, I've cooked meals for them, been in almost constant prayer for them and emotionally I am just shot. It's been a sweat pants and flannel shirt week... and it's only Wednesday. Today my dad starts his radiation for his Thyroid cancer. It's just another wave of emotions that hitting me all at once. He needs specific prayer today to be able to keep the radiation pill down, he's been having horrible nausea and vomiting for almost a week now, so that's our main concern. I don't have a whole lot else to say about any of this right now, but if I am a little MIA you'll know why.

Yesterday I hit my head on my glass shower door. I am so accident prone. I walked around my house with the boy's boo-boo buddy on my head because it was the only thing that made it feel better.
These pictures popped up on my time hop from two years ago. I love seeing my progress, it encourages me on the days that I am just not feeling like working out and wanted to eat carbs and nothing else...
Hudson has been saving up for a new Disney Infinity Character for several weeks. He's been asking me to do extra chores and yesterday I had him mop and clean the baseboards and he finally earned that 11th dollar. He was SO thrilled and proud that he'd earned enough to get his Hulkbuster. And I like the help with cleaning!
Lastly, my team and I wanted to do something fun and FREE to celebrate the holiday season so on December 7th, Team Joyfully Fit will begin "The 12 Days of Fitness" - A free group where the workouts will be structured just like the song - 1 workout move on the first day, 2 on the second, 3 on the third...and by the 12th and final day you'll have a full workout! We'll also be encouraging acts of service throughout the challenge - small random acts of kindness you can do for others...which is my favorite part!! This group is totally free to participate in, no strings attached. Just a fun way for us to keep each other accountable through the holiday season, and encourage each other to remember to be kind to others as well. Want to join us? Just click on the event below and then select "going". (For some reason it's not working for everyone- you can add me as a friend (Jenna Buettemeyer) and shoot me a message and I'll add you too!)

That's all I've got for today. If you think of it please say a prayer for our friends and for me and my family as my dad starts his treatment today! Hope you're having a great Wednesday!
