Five SIMPLE (and FREE) Ways to get Started on your Weight loss journey!
Losing weight doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. I decided to share some of my tips that anyone can incorporate into their daily lives.
1. WATER. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day. If you weigh 200 pounds, you'd need to drink 100 ounces of water. I know that seems like a lot, so it's best to get yourself a cute water bottle, and keep it with you ALL the time. I have a pink hydroflask (pictured below) that goes everywhere with me. It's 32 oz so my goal is at least two of those a day but I really try to get three!
2. Lace up some cute tennis shoes and get your booty outside! Yes I sell fitness programs. No you don't have to buy a fitness program to be successful in losing weight. Walking and running are free! I recommend Couch to 5k or a similar program if you're just starting running to help you get going. I use this program to train for my half marathons. Get outside and do 20 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 40 minutes. Every little bit counts! And fresh air and sunshine do us all some good! You can carry some hand weights as you walk too if you want! When I was in college I would run 4-6 miles 3-4x a week and do sets of lunges and squats on the trails. No gym needed. You can also get a free month trial of BeachBody On Demand (also pictured above) where you can workout for a month in the comfort of your own home FOR FREE and try all of our newest (and oldest) programs before purchasing something. 3. Find yourself some accountability! I don't care if it's your husband, your mom, your best friend, or some random girl who's blog you read ;). You need someone to keep you accountable and hold you to your promises. I am about to launch a brand new New You 2016 FREE Weight Loss accountability group on Facebook. You don't have to do anything with BeachBody, it's open to anyone and everyone. Just as a way to stay accountable in your journey! I'll be posting the link for it soon. 4. Eat Clean. You don't need any fancy book. Eat things that come from the ground. Don't eat processed junk. Watch your portions of carbs and eat more protein and veggies. Cut out soda, sweets, salt and artificial sweetener. I love these FlavorGod spices (not I am not being paid to say that-- I just super love them) they're even Whole30 approved. I'm going to start doing a weekly recipe thats CLEAN and SIMPLE and just plain yummy! First up is Oven Fajitas coming tomorrow!

5. Believe in yourself. No one can do it for you. Write your goals down in a place you'll see them every day. Tell yourself you CAN do it. Don't look at the mountain and shy away, look at it, get in gear and get going! You'll be so glad you did!
