What exactly IS a Whole Food Plant Based Diet?!
It's a diet RICH in WHOLE foods. Unprocessed foods. Foods that come from the Earth.
NO: Meat, Fish, Eggs, Milk, Butter, Gelatin, Etc.
YES: Fruit, Veggies, Nuts, Legumes, Whole Grains
What I've noticed since going WFPB?
-Increased (natural) Energy
-Better Complexion (NO breakouts and less under-eye darkness!)
-No more bloating
-Regular digestion, decreased indigestion
-NO allergy problems, no need for my usual daily meds (can I get an AMEN?!)
I've debated posting this, and honestly I need to do another picture (maybe after I get my eyebrows done tomorrow ;)) but this shows how much my skin cleared in the first month. I feel like it's even a bigger change now, I don't even need makeup or concealer. Just the diet change has brightened my skin and the whites of my eyes!
Ok so what the heck do we eat?! Well here is some of the yummy things we've been eating this week:
(I can't share the all the recipes because they're not mine, but I'll link the cookbook
in the comment of the picture)
It's the recipe on the cover!
|I was in a crunch and needed to eat lunch on the go so I whipped up a PB&Strawberry wrap with |
carrots and grapes to take with me in the car! Easy and delish!
And this recipe I can share. It's from Hello Fresh but I revamped it and made it my own. OH also... I restarted my Hello Fresh Subscription because they have a Vegetarian option and it will give me fresh ideas and the first box comes next week! Recipe to the meal below here. I subbed in vegan burgers that I crumbled up for the ground beef and almond milk for the sour cream. And you honestly didn't miss the beef at all. We couldn't even tell! If you want to try a box of Hello Fresh (you won't regret it!) you can get $40 off your first box (WHAT WHAT!!!) with my code: 64C7H9 :) I love their recipes, I use them again and again and again!
So that's my Tasty Tuesday Vegan Update! Hope you're enjoying these posts! I'll be back tomorrow with an update on what we've been up to! Happy Tuesday!
