16 weeks and other stuff

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 16 weeks 4 days

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a avocado, 4-5 inches, 3-5 oz

Maternity Clothes: Yes and No. Pants for sure yes, wearing a regular t-shirt today and its not going to work for much longer. Ha!

Gender: Baby BOY! Sawyer Anthony.

Movement: Yes and Bryan felt him move for the first time last night. He was kicking hard!

Sleep: Between back pain and allergies I am having a hard time sleeping, well I guess just staying asleep. I fall asleep super easy but I wake up a ton to go to the bathroom and reposition.

What I miss: Sleeping well.

Cravings: not a whole lot this week. Nothing has been sounding good. I finally could stomach coffee this morning and then proceeded to throw it up. Pregnancy highlights for ya right there!

Symptoms: Nausea comes and goes. Back pain has been better this week but I woke up today with leg cramps. It's always something!

Best Moment this week: Bryan being able to feel Sawyer move.

And besides being pregnant.. some other stuff happened this week. I got to go out and eat dinner with my best friends from high school. One of my friends lives in Japan so we don't get to all get together very often so it's special when she's home and we are all together!

Our homeschool adventures have been getting better and better. I am really enjoying teaching Hudson at home but this week he's starting to read on his own and I am just so proud of him and love getting to literally "see" him learning. It's not always easy and it takes LOTS of patience but I am so glad we've chosen this path for his education.

And lastly...
My sister in law, Jordan, is going for an appointment today to check out baby Lucy. You can read more about Lucy and her condition here. I am asking you join in us prayer for Lucy.

Psalm 139 has been on my mind since I woke up this morning and it is no coincidence that in my morning devotion one of the verses is Psalm 139:13-16.

"For You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in that secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Believing that truth and praying over baby Lucy.

Happy Friday.
