Parties, Fall and Asthma. Oh my!

We have had an eventful last few days including several parties. My mom's birthday was last week and we had the family over to eat dinner and cake at our house.

Hudson's buddy, Boston, had a nerf war party on Friday night. The boys had an absolute blast. They had to save the princesses from the tower. Perfect party for boys!!!

Saturday we celebrated both my parent's birthdays at the lake house with some fishing and dinner around the fire pit.
Sunday Bryan and I took the boys to Joplin to spend the day with Tony and CJ. It was a perfect fall day and Tony made steaks, which is my favorite meal of his! We let the boys play outside in the leaves and on the go kart... and Rhett's asthma flared up big time. We had his rescue inhaler with us and I made him come inside and shower but by the time we got home it turned into a full blown asthma attack. We have almost all the meds we need to control it at home, but after doing his nebulizer and oral steroids I still didn't like how fast he was breathing and how junky he sounded so he and I packed up and headed up to the ER at 8:30 on Sunday night.

After 3 hours and another breathing treatment he had settled down a little bit and we got to come home. I was up with him most of the night so we are both worn out today. Well... I am worn out and he is hyped up on steroids/delirious. I walked into his room a few minutes ago and he was standing on his changing table dressed like this. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm dressing up like a cowboy so I can be awesome!" Hahaha!

So thats what our weekend entailed... and today we are resting and trying to kick the rest of the asthma so we can enjoy our week.

Happy Monday!
