Date Night to the ER....

Bryan came home for lunch yesterday, left the house perfectly fine and I put the boys down for their naps. I started my insanity work out and with 5 minutes left in my workout Bryan called to say that he was having some sharp pain in his abdomen.

I could tell by talking to him that he was really hurting. He decided it was bad enough that he wanted to go the ER. Immediatly thinking gallbladder, because of where his pain was located, and thanks to my gall bladder experience, I was almost sure that's what it was. Tony went with Bryan to the ER and I called my dad and grandma to come stay with the boys. I hopped in the shower and rinsed off so at least I wouldn't be stinky, and left for the hospital as soon as they got to my house.

We waited in the ER waiting room for about an hour before they got him back to a room, he was in excruciating pain. The Dr came in to see him and at this point his pain had moved lower and was looking more like appendicitis. They started running some tests and gave him some pain meds...

...after a negative CT scan and Ultrasound, and negative blood work, we were sent home at 9:30. I was almost sure that we would end up back there in the night, but Bryan slept through the night and is still sleeping so maybe it just a touch of gastritis...

So, we had a very eventful Friday night, we were both thankful to sleep in our own bed last night and I was thankful to snuggle my boys this morning. We were supposed to do our "February Family First" last night, but we will have to lump it into March since Bryan pulled this little stint...

The boys and I all have a little cold so I am looking forward to taking it easy today before we get hit with another round of ice and snow tomorrow.

...and I am hoping we don't have to make any more trips to the ER this weekend...

Have a Happy Saturday!!!

  1. Did they check him for kidney stones because that sounds exactly how I felt when I had one? It was worse pain that birthing my two babies! It came on suddenly and they thought it was appendicitis too. Glad he is feeing better!
